1. What we collect

The enquiry form

• The improvements you are considering, the size of your home, whether anyone in the home receives benefits, and what you need doing
• Your name, phone number, email address, the first line of your address and your postcode
• That you ticked the consent box, and the page you sent the enquiry from

The eligibility checker

If you send your results, we also receive the answers you gave: the first line of your address and postcode, whether you own or rent, property type, wall type, roof direction, which benefits you receive or your household income band, EPC rating, council tax band, heating type, boiler age, whether you already have loft or cavity wall insulation, and the improvements and schemes shown in your results. Answers you do not send stay in your browser.

2. What happens to it

• Your enquiry is sent to Better Home Hub, which handles every enquiry made on this site.
• Better Home Hub may share it with one or more specialists who cover your area and do the work you asked about, so they can contact you about it. Specialists we introduce may pay Better Home Hub a fee.
• Better Home Hub may email you to confirm your enquiry was received.
• We do not sell your details for other companies' marketing, and we do not use them for anything unrelated to your enquiry.

We rely on your consent, given by ticking the box on the form, to pass your enquiry to specialists. We also have a legitimate interest in keeping a record of enquiries and introductions and in protecting the site from misuse.

Our website and systems are run with the help of hosting and technology providers, who process information only on our instructions. Information may be disclosed where the law requires it.

3. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details only for as long as we need them to handle your enquiry and keep a record of the introduction, and then delete them. You can ask us to delete them sooner.

4. Cookies

The site sets no advertising cookies, and no analytics cookies unless you choose Accept cookies in the cookie banner.

• If you accept: we load Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics. They set cookies that tell us how the site is used. Google processes this information under its own terms.
• If you reject, or do not choose: none of these load.
• Your choice itself is stored in your browser so we do not ask on every page. This is necessary for the site to respect your choice.

You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings, also linked at the bottom of every page.

5. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to how we use it, or withdraw your consent. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.
